The 2013 WCC tournament continues today with a pair of games as follows (both times PST):
Noon: #5 LMU vs. #8 San Francisco
2:30: #6 Santa Clara vs. #7 Portland
There is a pretty clear division in the WCC between the top tier and bottom tier and today's matchups are essentially the bottom tier beating up on each other before the top tier even gets going.
Plenty has been said about the LMU-USF matchup around here the past few days, but that Portland - Santa Clara matchup could be interesting as well given how weird the regular season meetings have been. For the second season in a row, neither team won their home games in the regular season series. The difference between this year and last - when the road team won by double digits in each game - is that both games this season were decided by a single possession.
So who knows what might happen on a neutral court between those two teams.
