Day 1:

Today is the day. The Big Ten tournament is here, and we are finally starting to get our groove back. Today we had practice from 2pm-4pm and headed straight for the airport so we could take flight to Chicago. Our flight was supposed to be a little later in the evening, but because of the bad snow storms, they decided to push the flight up to an earlier time. Those who have followed the Big Ten previously, will know that this is going to be a brand new feel and atmosphere for all the teams here. We would usually be heading to Indianapolis for this occasion, but they decided to switch locations.

The day has been filled with excitement and tons of energy from everybody. We started off conference play very shaky, but as of late, we have been playing the way that everyone would have expected us to play -- which is why we are anxious to win this thing!!! When we arrived to Chicago we put our bags up in our rooms and shortly after, headed to team dinner. Team dinner is always a great thing for us because it allows us to all be together and enjoy the company of each other -- before we turn this trip into straight business.

This team is full of funny and entertaining people, so of course jokes are flying from one person to another. Dull moments are extremely rare. If I had to choose the funniest person on the team it would be a very close call between Lisa Blair (freshman from New York) and Darryce Moore (junior from Boardman). They have the most random thoughts in the world, and they come at the most perfect times. It is almost impossible to keep straight faces around them; if you can I’ll cook you dinner, lol.

Dinner is over now and we are heading back to the hotel to wind down and get ready for the big day tomorrow. Our first opponent is Minnesota and we are more than ready. Until next time….Go Bucks!
