Gotta give credit to thewiz06 for calling this one in our staff predictions:
...Kansas vs. Colorado in part because this is a former Big 12 conference matchup in a 5 vs 12 seed matchup.
Still, this might be the most unexpected outcome on a day with a few upsets.
Even if there was a statistical projection that had Colorado falling to Kansas - and to my knowledge, there wasn't - the fact that the Buffaloes couldn't defend home court is definitely surprising. That said, Ed Bemiss' odds didn't exactly see Colorado as an overwhelming favorite to advance.
Kansas: 49.49%
Colorado: 50.11%
But even then... a 15-point loss? Guess folks were too hard on Kansas getting into the tournament.
