Connecticut blows out Duke, 83-61

This was a match between the two highest ranked teams in the country, but #1 Connecticut (11-0) beat #2 Duke (10-1), led by Breanna Stewart who scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis who scored 21 points off the bench with 7 three point shots. For Duke, Chelsea Gray led the Blue Devils with 13 points and four players had double digits in scoring.

If there was one stretch that got this game out of reach, it was an 8 minute stretch in the first half where the Huskies went on a 16-1 run over the Blue Devils where Duke failed to score a field goal, turning the score from 12-11 to 28-12.  The Huskies had a lead as high as 38-15 after a Mosqueda-Lewis three, but Duke ultimately dropped the deficit to 15 points at the half, trailing 41-26.

In the second half, Duke was able to get the score as close as 65-52 with 8 minutes remaining, but Uconn then responded with a 14-0 run which included three more three pointers by Mosqueda-Lewis.

After this win by the UConn Huskies, do you think that they will win the national championship this season and finish this season undefeated?   It wouldn't surprise me.
