London 2012 Open Thread: United States Looks To Ride Momentum To Stay Unbeaten

The third day of pool play competition commences from "The Mattress" as the demarcation line between those who will survive and advance and those who will not becomes even more clear. Here's a look at who plays who and where each team stands:

9 a.m. (4 a.m. ET)

Last time out: It took the French an extra period to knock off Australia after Belinda Snell's 'miracle' to end regulation and Canada held on for dear life to beat the home team 73-65.

11:15 a.m. (6:15 a.m. ET)

Last time out: After being drubbed by the U.S., Angola's uphill battle continues against another undefeated team in Group A. China had their way with Croatia in an 83-58 beating on Monday.

2:30 p.m. (9:30 a.m. ET)

Last time out: Australia looks to rebound after their tough overtime loss to France on Monday while fending off a winless Brazilian team that fell to the bottom of Group B after a 10-point loss to Russia.

4:45 p.m. (11:45 a.m. ET)

Last time out: Russia looks to keep pace with France at the top of their group as they go against a home team that desperately seeks their first-ever Olympic win.

8 p.m. (3 p.m. ET)

Last time out: Both teams are looking for their first win of the tournament after losing to China and Turkey, respectively, on Monday.

10:15 p.m. (5:15 p.m. ET)

Last time out: The United States muscled their way to a 90-38 win over Angola with improved organization while Turkey squeaked by the Czech Republic 61-57. One of these two teams will be saddled with their first loss in the Games.
