Senior guard Tyra White has the scoring lead for this team, with 13.5 points per game- but she missed much of the Big XII tournament due to injury. Without her, Texas A&M is exceedingly vulnerable. A&M has traditionally been a good defensive team, which makes up for less than spectacular three-point shooting and free throw accuracy. White spent much of the Big XII tournament in a boot; if she's out for any length of time, the burden will fall on senior forward Adaora Elonu (12.3 ppg, team high 6.8 rpg) and junior center Kelsey Bone. Freshman Alexia Standish has shifted into the starting lineup, and pressure may be placed on her as well.
