ESPN to broadcast 2013 WNBA Draft during primetime for first time in league history

For the first time in WNBA history, the league's draft will be broadcast during primetime on April 15, 2013 on ESPN2 and ESPNU as well as online at WatchESPN.com and on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app.

With Griner, Delaware's Elena Delle Donne, and Notre Dame's Skylar Diggins - also known as the Big Three - eligible for the 2013 WNBA Draft, ESPN has made the decision to broadcast the draft in primetime. After already broadcasting the WNBA Draft lottery for the first time ever earlier this year, this is further evidence of ESPN's commitment to women's basketball that one might hope will help to grow the sport.
