Ohio State's camo jerseys for the 2012 Carrier Classic on the USS Yorktown

As part of this year's Carrier Classic, the Ohio State Buckeyes will face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on the USS Yorktown in honor of Military Appreciation Day on November 9 as described by Luke Zimmerman of SB Nation's Ohio State site Land-Grant Holy Land.

The Ohio State women's basketball team will also be participating taking on the always tough Notre Dame Lady Irish just before. The Buckeyes women's hoops' teams head coach, Jim Foster, happens to be an Army veteran.

The uniforms - which you can see by checking out the post at Land-Grant Holy Land - were designed by Nike and, according to Shay M. of Stack.com, "...stem from the brand's HyperElite line, consisting mostly of polyester from recycled plastic bottles and featuring the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) pattern."

Michigan State's men's basketball team, which participated in last year's Carrier Classic, will also have a green and white camouflage jersey while participating in the Armed Forces Classic.

In other news, the Michigan Wolverines remain the Leaders and the Best.
