#8 prospect, Jannah Tucker de-commits from Tennessee

The recruiting spotlight remains on Tennessee with the #8 prospect in the nation de-committing from the program.

As first reported by Kevin Lynch of Blue Star basketball, one of the top prospects in the country -- Jannah Tucker -- has de-committed from Tennessee. This is very stunning news as it comes on the cusp of early signing period which begins on November 14.

Tucker had been committed to Tennessee since late June after an unofficial visit to the campus. Dan Fleser of the Knoxville News Sentinel reported in late-September that, "Guard Jannah Tucker (No. 8) already is committed to UT and will visit once her recovery from knee surgery on Sept. 20 has progressed." The injury referred to is a torn left ACL that she suffered while competing at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship in Gurabo, Puerto Rico in August and was expected to join the Lady Vols in the summer of 2013 for summer school, according to Fleser in another News Sentinel article.

More details to come as this story develops.
