"The Subtleties That Make Gonzaga's Vandersloot A Great Point Guard" - SB Nation Seattle
For the reasons described in the SBN Seattle Feature (linked above), I think Courtney Vandersloot is the top candidate for the Nancy Lieberman Award with everyone else vying for second. But don't take my word for it - in a recent article by Dave Trimmer of The Spokesman Review, Gonzaga point guard legend John Stockton is quoted as saying the following. "She’s pretty much a self-made player," Stockton insisted. "I would love to find a way to take credit. She kind of defies what you expect from a woman basketball player. She has the knack of a boy." Yes, that's an interesting gender statement, but she's quite amazing to watch and those numbers only tell part of the story.
