Time to Dance: Marquette

Who? The Golden Eagles of Marquette.

What? Marquette doesn't really provide a reason for why they're the Golden Eagles, or whether their Golden Eagle has a name. Schools like this make doing capsules like this really hard.

Where? Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

When? Saturday the 19th, versus Texas in Knoxville.

Why? The gods alone only know. This team is better than its seed, and deserves a better tournament fate than potentially bearding the Lady Vols in their own den.

How? They were an at-large selection from the Big East.

Surprise? Not this year.

Who's driving this thing, anyway? Terri Mitchell, since 1996. Ready for anything the game can throw at her.

RPI: 27

SOS: 51

Record: 23-8 (10-6 Big East)

Best win: Green Bay (H), Georgetown (A)

Worst loss: Creighton (A)

Notable results: That Green Bay win? The Phoenix's only loss. Michigan (H) and Wisconsin (A) are also key.

Senior guard Angel Robinson makes this team go, averaging 13.3 points and 4.8 of her team's 16.5 assists- but senior guard Tatiyana McMorris is getting hot at the right time for the Golden Eagles, upping her scoring average in conference play.
