Time to Dance: St. Francis (PA), Northeast

Who? The Red Flash of St. Francis University, not to be confused with St. Francis College, which is the one in Brooklyn that fails pretty hard.

What? Red Flash is a very cool name, but I can't find out why they chose it. What I do know is that Red Flash translates to Frankie the Friar, who is quite frankly one scary motha.

Where? Loretto, Pennsylvania, which would appear to be somewhere in the vicinity of Altoona, which puts it pretty far out into the boonies, no offense.

When? March 13th, in Loretto, Pennsylvania.

Why? Because they won the Northeast conference tournament.

How? Brittany Lilley's double-double of 19 points and 10 assists spearheaded the Red Flash to a 72-57 win over Monmouth.

Surprise? Nope. The Red Flash had the top seed in the conference tournament, which meant that not only were they the best team in the conference, they played all their tournament games at home.

Who's driving this thing, anyway? Susan Robinson Fruchtl, since 2007. Wait, she was a Wade Trophy winner? I had a whole list of them once, why don't I remember this?

RPI: 86

SOS: 121

Record: 22-11 (14-4)

Best win: Pittsburgh (H)

Worst loss: Fairleigh Dickinson (A)

Notable results: Toledo (L, A, 71-66)

Senior guard Samantha Leach has stepped up from her supporting role last year, averaging 17.6 points per game. This team needs to take care of the ball if they want to have any success- they have more turnovers than assists, and their scoring margin is not that great.
