Michigan Improves To 7-0 With 71-51 Win Over Marquette

5

Obviously, this makes for a good day for fans of the Maize & Blue, with the Michigan women's basketball team sweeping their Paradise Jam slate in addition to the football team beating some school from Ohio. But particularly noteworthy about today's game might be how they won: after a few relatively close wins against teams arguably inferior to Marquette, a 20-point win on a neutral court should be encouraging. The thing to really pay attention to in the boxscore is their turnover rate differential (check out the link above for WBB State's Four Factors graphic on the right hand side): Michigan turned the ball over 19% less often than Marquette in a slow game in which each possession really mattered. Mike has posted a brief - and less homerific - summary of the game here.
