On Sunday, June 27th, the New York Liberty will host their neighboring rivals, the Connecticut Sun, at Madison Square Garden. Both teams are coming off of big wins: the Liberty ended a three-game skid with a convincing win over the slumping Tulsa Shock, and the Sun fended off a surging Phoenix Mercury team in the last few minutes of the game.
The Sun beat the Liberty the last time these two teams met up north, and New York is hoping to even up the series on their home court. Sunday's game is the last at the Garden for the Liberty, as they depart on a three-game road trip. This game will mark the first of 6 straight road games for the Sun.
