There's a microscopic chance there might be something in here you didn't know about UConn.

Soon-to-be Connecticut freshman Breanna Stewart was selected as the country's top female prep athlete at the Gatorade High School Athlete of the Year ceremony Tuesday night in Los Angeles.

As reported by the New York Times, University of Connecticut Head coach Geno Auriemma is being sued for discrimination.

Although it didn't really show up on the scoreboard, Notre Dame really struggled to establish any sort of rhythm in their normally-fluid offense in the first half against UConn in the Final Four. But with the ball in Brittany Mallory's hands toward the end of the first half, the Fighting Irish seemed to calm down a bit.

Although Notre Dame won two of their three meetings this season, a more confident Connecticut team won the last one to take the 2012 Big East Tournament championship. And put simply, there hasn't really been one major statistical category that has determined winning and losing in the first three games these teams have played.

All-Star Games usually make a mockery out of legitimate basketball turning the game more into a sideshow pick-up game, but the last-second execution at the end of the first half showed the true abilities of the players in the WBCA All-Star Game.
