Washington Mystics Re-Sign Monique Currie


I went to the Verizon Center today and learned at a season ticket holder event that Monique is officially re-signed with the team. Considering that she was given the tag, this is not a surprise. Head Coach and GM Trudi Lacey, and Center Ashley Robinson were at the event. I also spoke with one of Monumental Sports' officials today and also learned that the WNBA will implement the restricted arc this season, but wasn't sure about a longer three point line. This is one of the three changes I wanted to see for this season. I heard some interesting things at this event (nothing too crazy) and will put it in a post later.

Pretty self explanatory from the title. But she won't be playing on Friday against Atlanta in Atlanta. Yes, the Mystics and Dream will play a back to back against each other..... On one hand, it's too little too late, but I'm actually looking forward to seeing her play even if it's just for a few games.
