Of course, the biggest Maya news as it relates to our world is her endorsement deal with the Jordan Brand. She signed a multi-year contract with the company this past may, becoming the first female basketball player to officially represent Team Jordan. In celebration of Maya being named WNBA Rookie of the Year, let's take a look back at some of the Jordans she wore throughout the season.

Not exactly what I wanted, but I thought we made a little bit of progress from some of the initial jitters, working into the flow of this level, just working those things out. I don't like to necessarily base my performance on points, because like Coach was saying, there's a lot of ways you can impact the game, so that's what I try to do. I try to get some assists, get some rebounds, force some tough shots. Overall, I thought I filled the stat sheet a little bit in certain areas, but I'm definitely not satisfied with where I am. I want to keep getting better and keep getting more consistent and staying out of foul trouble too.

Four of the nation's top 12 teams, including three ranked among the top five squads, clash during Big Monday's doubleheader on ESPN2. As part of the coverage, cameras will be dedicated to Connecticut's Maya Moore and Baylor's Brittney Griner, with ESPN3.com providing fans with isolated camera views of two of the country's top players.

From Women's basketball: Top-ranked Baylor Lady Bears prepare for Big Monday clash - ESPN. The funny thing is that I'm actually most interested in watching Texas A&M's Danielle Adams, whom I have yet to watch since their 2010 NCAA tournament rounds in Seattle. ESPN2/3 will have Oklahoma at Connecticut (7 p.m. EST) and Texas A&M at Baylor (9 p.m. EST). Follow @BuiltByDays & @DishNSwish on Twitter for live updates from Storrs.

We still have a lot of getting better to do. As much as this group has done, and I don’t want to diminish what they’ve done, we still can get a lot better and I’ve had trouble as a coach getting our teams to peak at the right moment, and I don’t think we’ve come close to peaking yet. I told them we’re not beating this team three times. If we had won tonight we were going to let them win in Hartford (in the Big East tournament) because we’re not going to beat them three times, and we want to save one for the NCAA tournament. It may be making lemonade out of lemons but hopefully there’s another couple of shots at a great, great basketball team.

"It’s a privilege to earn a scholarship because you can take for granted all the costs of a college education," she says. "I feel that in return, I have to work my hardest. Coach Auriemma reminds us often that we’re on scholarship and we have to work for what we get and what we want, just like you have to work for your living when you’re out of college. It’s a great teaching point."

"She has had a tremendous impact not only on this streak, but on the women's game. Her consistency, her attitude and her skill set put her on a different plane. She's never going to be complacent, and her confidence lifts the confidence of the players around her." -Tennessee Coach Pat Summitt on UConn's Maya Moore

Geno Auriemma: "I'm a little torn," he said. "Someone just asked me, 'Hey, do you want to do this big thing' if we passed 88. I was like, why? We broke the record when we passed 70. UConn women has won the most games in the history of women's basketball in a row. Shouldn't that be the way it works?" Maya Moore: "I like to appreciate what they did for what they did and what we're doing in our special way," Moore said. "I don't think you have to say one's better than the other. I think we're a society that likes to always compete and have to say somebody's a winner and a loser."
