The game of basketball is full of ebbs and flows, a game of runs and in Georgia Tech’s 75-68 overtime victory North Carolina State, this was the case.

ACC Program Histories: Clemson Lady Tigers

We continue our historical overviews of various ACC teams. The team featured today is Clemson - the only team left in the ACC that still prefaces its mascot with the word "Lady", so the official name is not the Tigers but the Lady Tigers. More information follows.

ACC Program Histories: Boston College Eagles

As we write about various colleges in the nation at Swish Appeal, we like to take a quick glance at what a program has done over the last 4-5 years: their record, where they finished in the conference, what postseason tournament they made, etc. Of course, most of that information is available in media guides if you poke around a college's site long enough. But it would also be nice to have that information easily organized into a table that you could easily scan to see trends, peaks, and valleys. So in all of our spare time, we're going to take on that project this season for some of the nation's major programs - starting to look back at program histories as we continue to survey the landscape of today. First up is the ACC, starting with Boston College.

No. 9 Miami Blows by Michigan State: Stroman Has Huge Game

(East Lansing) - When people hear about Miami, they think about the dynamic duo of Riquna Williams and Shenise Johnson. Both are All ACC performers and on any given day, they can dominate a basketball game by themselves. But in Miami’s win over Michigan State, 76-60 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, it was the unsung hero that coach Katie Meier calls, “Stro Time” that dominated for Miami; Morgan Stroman

“She's so underrated in terms of our success and I think without question you have to give our seniors Shenise [Johnson] and Riquna [Williams] and Sylvia [Bullock] a lot of credit for changing the face of our program,” said Miami Coach Katie Meier. “But that junior class, the class we have right underneath, those kids are perfect. They are perfect student-athletes and they do everything you ask of them.”

Marshall Scores 28 in Georgia Tech Win over Nebraska in Big Ten/ACC Challenge

(ATLANTA) – After a loss to Rutgers where Georgia Tech shot 3-for-23 in the first half and an overtime loss to Wisconsin-Green Bay where they gave up the last ten points of the game, Georgia Tech hoped to make a statement against Nebraska in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Wednesday night.

And what a statement it was, with sophomore guard Ty Marshall scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds on the way to a 73-57 win over the Cornhuskers at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

Georgia Tech Paints Over Kennesaw State; Rutgers Next in San Juan

(ATLANTA) - Kennesaw State was the last scheduled game for Georgia Tech at the Arena at Gwinnett Center before heading to San Juan to take on the likes of Rutgers and Wisconsin-Green Bay.

As of this writing, the next four opponents of the Yellow Jackets are a combined 15-0.  But if Tuesday night’s 94-51 slaughter of in-state opponent Kennesaw State is any indication of Georgia Tech’s strength, foes of the Yellow Jackets should forgo any overconfidence.

Payback: Georgia Tech Beats Old Dominion to Avenge Last Year's Loss

(ATLANTA) - Sunday's game against Old Dominion presented a different kind of challenge for Georgia Tech.

Last year's 65-63 loss at Old Dominion in the second game of the 2010-11 season was a tough one, with Tyaunna Marshall missing two free throws with 0.4 seconds left to kill a Yellow Jackets comeback.  But this year, Georgia Tech's 87-56 victory over the Lady Monarchs at the Arena at Gwinnett Center was well in hand before the final buzzer.

George Tech Applies Sting to Alabama State in Season Opener

(ATLANTA) – After a long wait, Georgia Tech women’s basketball is back – but back in a new location.  With Alex Montgomery and Deja Foster having graduated, would the Yellow Jackets pick up where they left off at the end of the 2011 season?

Friday night’s debut against the Alabama State Hornets suggested an answer of "yes" with a 97-37 walloping at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
