Sources: Tricia Cullop pulls her name out of consideration for Indiana

Multiple sources have told Swish Appeal that Tricia Cullop has pulled her name from consideration for the Indiana job. Cullop, an Indiana native, has done a tremendous job at Toledo amassing a 141-60 record. She also delivered the Rockets a WNIT championship in 2011.

Sources: Christin Mercer to transfer to Jacksonville

Former Florida star Christin Mercer has verbally committed to transfer to Jacksonville. Mercer, who was suspended last year after being charged with a third degree felony, was the Gator's second-leading scorer at 11.8 points. Per reports, it was believed that Mercer took a plea deal to reduce the charge.

Mid-major: Stetson gets commitment from McKenna Beach (Cape Coral HS)

Per multiple sources, Stetson has landed its first commitment for the 2015 class in McKenna Beach. Beach, a 5-foot-6 point guard from Cape Coral high school in Florida, was named second team All-State this year. She was First Team All-Area by the Fort Myers News-Press and First Team All-Conference. Beach averaged 18.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 4.9 steals as a junior. Beach also plays for FGB AAU program led by Kenny Kallina.

Mid-major update: Stetson gets transfer Jo Paine from Santa Clara

Per multiple sources, Stetson has landed versatile transfer Jo Paine from Santa Clara University. Payne, a 6-foot forward, was named to the West Coast Conference Freshman Team and was second on the team in points (10.3) and rebounding (4.9). Paine also was first on the team in three-point percentage at 37.5%. Payne along with Alexandra Ciabattoni, a 6’0"guard/forward, is the second transfer Stetson has landed in the past couple of weeks. They both with bring great size and versatility to the Hatters.

Ginny was a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, athlete, teammate, coach, teacher, colleague, friend and storyteller. She was a formidable player who will always be remembered for her NCAA free-throw shooting record, which led to national recognition and her nickname "Deadeye Doyle." She was an accomplished coach, dedicated to women's basketball and her life with the University of Richmond Spiders. She touched the lives of many and lived life to the fullest. USA Volleyball selects BYU's Jennifer Hamson for U.S. Collegiate National Team

USA Volleyball has selected 36 athletes to participate in the U.S. Collegiate National Team (CNT) program that will train and compete in conjunction with the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships from June 22 to July 1 in Minneapolis...After the training portion of the program, the 36 athletes will be divided into three equal teams which will compete in a round-robin event June 27-30. The round-robin event may add an international team to increase the field to four teams that would complete June 26-30. This program is considered a second tryout for the U.S. Women’s National Team.

6-foot-7 BYU center and 2014 WNBA draft prospect Jennifer Hamson has been selected for the U.S. Collegiate National Team, which will compete this summer. Hamson has said publicly that she plans to return to BYU this fall to use her final year of volleyball eligibility after redshirting this season to focus on basketball.

Rumor: Kelly Graves most likely to become the next Oregon coach

Per multiple sources, it is rumored that Kelly Graves will most likely be the next head coach of Oregon. One source said that it was "basically a done deal." Earlier last night, Lindsey Schnell reported that Graves would be interviewing with the Ducks sometime today. This would be a huge hire for Oregon if Graves is named its next head coach. Stay tuned.
