"I am honored and humbled to be the next head coach at San Diego State University," Stacie Terry said. "I want to thank Jim (Sterk) and his staff for this amazing opportunity. This is such a special place for me. Not only is this my dream job, but it is home. SDSU is a first class university that has all the resources in place to be successful. I am so eager to get started and confident that we can continue the winning tradition that Aztec supporters have become accustomed to both on and off the court."

WBCA Junior College Player of the Year, Olivia Gaines, had made a verbal commitment to High Point University on May 5th. But Gaines reconsidered that decision and now committed to Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks. The 5-foot-7 guard led Louiburg to their first-ever NJCAA Division II National Championship.
"Today’s decision is a mutual one between Wendell (Hudson) and me," Alabama Director of Athletics Bill Battle said. "We have had several discussions over the last few weeks that led to this decision. Wendell has been an excellent ambassador for Alabama Athletics for many years and I am pleased that he will continue to serve in that manner for us while also contributing to our ongoing mission in a variety of other ways as well."
"I want to thank the University for the opportunity to help rebuild the women’s basketball program over the last five years," Hudson said. "I am particularly thankful for the efforts of the young ladies that competed for us these last five seasons, in addition to the dedication of the coaches that have worked on our staff and the many people throughout the University that have provided such tremendous support over the years. I look forward to continuing to serve my school in a productive way over the next few years."
"I'm elated," Mike Neighbors said. When Kevin (McGuff) left, the first words out of my mouth were `I want to be the head coach of the basketball team at the University of Washington - this particular team, these players, the recruits we have coming in.'
"When I got into this business 13 years ago, Washington wasn't one of my `dream jobs.' My dream jobs were regional. But when I got here to Seattle with Kevin two years ago, to this program and this university, this became my dream job.
"And now here I am."
