Open Thread: Notre Dame and UConn play in the NCAA Division I women's basketball national championship game at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN

If Notre Dame wins, I think she'll be the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. - Andy Lyons

Talk about it here.

So, today's finally the day of the championship game.

It's on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. ET or you can watch it on WatchESPN.

Yesterday, we saw the good guys, and the feel-good story about the UConn Huskies winning the men's national championship. Today, we'll see if the women's team can also do the same, and surpass Tennessee for the program with the most titles in NCAA history. For my own selfish interest and perhaps many of you too, you want to see the Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat the Huskies because you want "anyone but UConn" to win.

Either way, it should be a great game, and there's a good backstory too.

Enjoy the game.
