Baylor's Kim Mulkey on defending Iowa State's Hallie Christofferson

+

The Lady Bears limited Hallie Christofferson, who is tied for second in the conference in scoring at 18.7 per game, to 10 points. The versatile, 6-foot-3 Christofferson battled foul trouble throughout that contest and played only 22 minutes. "She’s playing inside some this year, and that’s a difficult matchup for us because our (centers), Sune (Agbuke) and Kristina (Higgins) have to guard her, and she goes out to shoot the 3 as well," Mulkey said. "You have to limit her ability to score in the paint first."

From Lady Bears get 2nd chance at Big 12 title at Iowa St. by Jason Orts of the Waco Tribune. Baylor will face Iowa State at 7 p.m. tonight for a chance at a share of the Big XII title with West Virginia. Mulkey's comments match with our previous observations about Christofferson from our preview of the teams' last meeting.
