Monday WNBA links: Chicago mounts huge comeback

Mark L. Baer-US PRESSWIRE

Chicago once again played catch up against an inferior opponent.

  • Chris Murray writes about the Women's American Basketball Association, which is scheduled to start play in 2014.
  • The Associated Press reports on how Lauren Jackson and Australia are doing during Jackson's year off from the WNBA.
  • George Henry of The Associated Press recaps the Dream's 76-58 win over the Mystics Sunday afternoon. Washington was on track for over 100 points after the first quarter, but had back-to-back nine-point quarters in the second and third. Angel McCoughtry broke her streak of three consecutive games with 30 or more points and Tiffany Hayes led the way with 23.
  • Brian Sandalow of The Associtated Press recaps the Sky's 89-78 victory over the Sun. Chicago was down by 25 points at one point but still managed to defeat the last place Sun, who still have a ways to go before being mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. Sylvia Fowles had another 20-20 game.
  • Mike Cook of The Associated Press recaps the Lynx's 88-57 win over the Liberty. Minnesota snapped a three-game losing streak behind 28 points from Maya Moore.
