As the Louisville Cardinals were on their way to beating the Baylor Lady Bears in the Sweet 16, Seth Davis tweeted the following:
FYI Louisville women hoops beating Baylor 64-48 with 9:50 to play. Does any fan base really deserve this much happiness?

Now headed to the Final Four, Louisville fans could have even more to cheer about.
10th time in NCAA history that a school has sent both men's and women's basketball teams to the NCAA Final Four in the same season. #L1C4

If the Louisville women beat Cal, they'll become the first team seeded higher than fourth to ever win a Final Four game.

In true March Madness fashion, none of this was exactly predictable - it's hard to imagine even the most rabid Louisville fan anticipating a trip to the Final Four.
And that really only adds to what has become the biggest surprise of either the men's or women's tournament this season, as described well by Cardinals coach Jeff Walz after the game and captured in a summary by Mike Rutherford of SB Nation's Louisville site Card Chronicle.
"We ruined the entire party," Louisville coach Jeff Walz said. "We're the ugly ducklings that ruined the party. No one gave us a chance and we shocked everybody. It's a journey and we're going to continue."
Did I mention that Tom Jurich signed Walz to a monster contract extension before this season?
No matter your allegiances, it's hard not to sit back an admire what they've accomplished so far, a credit to both the coaching staff and players.
