Forward Delisha Milton-Jones, an unrestricted free agent has signed a contract with the San Antonio Silver Stars. Milton-Jones comes to San Antonio from the Los Angeles Sparks where she played from 1999 to 2004 and from 2008-2012. She played for the Washington Mystics from 2005-2007. DeLisha Milton-Jones will provide the San Antonio Silver Stars a veteran presence at the forward position where she has averaged 12 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and 1.9 apg over her career.
Last year, she averaged 10 points and 4.4 rebounds a game as a complementary scorer for the Sparks. She has had a storied professional career which includes being a three time All-Star (2000, 2004, 2007) and was part of the Sparks' championship teams in 2001 and 2002. In her international career, Delisha was on three FIBA World Championship Teams for Team USA in 1998, 2002, and 2006, and was on the Team USA Olympic teams in 2000 and 2008. All of these teams except for the 2006 FIBA World Championship team were Gold Medal winners.
