The signings continue to roll in. Earlier today, the Connecticut Sun re-signed guard Renee Montgomery to a three year contract. Montgomery was the WNBA's Sixth Woman of the Year in 2012, and was also an All Star in 2011.

Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko stated in the team's press release that re-signing Montgomery was their number one priority. Renee also gave a quick statement, which said:

"I'm very excited and blessed to continue my journey with the Connecticut Sun. Connecticut fans seem to have adopted me, and I love it here as my second home. I’ve heard so many great things about our new coach, Anne Donovan, and I look forward to working with her. See you this summer!"

This helps shore up the Sun's backcourt for the future as the team looks to return to the Finals for the first time since 2005. With Montgomery back, this signing is a step in that direction.
