With the signing of Ivory Latta and the hiring of Mike Thibault, the Mystics believe this season will be better. There was actually a live chat with Ivory Latta, and I joined in on it, and asked a question. I asked if the Mystics could make the championship next year. Latta's response was: "I think if we work hard, we can be contenders." Now, I don't know if she's saying this so people will attend Mystics games this year, or if she truly meant it. It could be true, considering how good that team was before hiring that pupu platter of incompetence named Trudi Lacey. And since Mike Thibault is a good, accomplished coach, he probably knows what he's doing, and can steer this team in the right direction. Of course, if he trades Crystal Langhorne, he probably messsed up with that one, unless if it were for Sue Bird or Angel Mcoughtry. If he trades Monique Currie or Matee Ajavon, that could or not be smart. So the point is, what will the team be like this summer? No one knows yet. We'll have to wait until later in the off season and the draft. Speaking of the draft, what's up with that? The poor Mystics got fourth pick, when the clearly deserved 1st. And it's still unclear who they can pick, and they are free to pick. It's possible Thibault could make a trade for Elena Delle Donne or Skylar Diggins. Or, they could stick with fourth and see what they can get. As I said, it's still unclear.
