2013-2014 Conference Champions Predictions

As the season approaches, it's time to start predicting. Last year was crazy nonetheless. Baylor being knocked off by Louisville. Then the Cards going farther than anyone could have imagined reaching the NCAA Championship v.s. UCONN. Then you have the UCONN Huskies dominating their way to the championship.

It's hard to imagine a crazier season, but this year will be. Not only will the winner of the National Championship be worthy, but they will be different...and win it for another reason. So here we go. Here is the conference predictions for every team, and a little surprise at the end.

American Athletic Conference: UConn Huskies

Obviously, in the new AAC there is not a lot of competition for the Huskies. The biggest threat will be Rutgers, and we don't even know how good this team will be even though they have the potential. I think these ladies will once again be ranked #1 to start the year. They will also be favorites once again to win that 9th NCAA Championship.

ACC: Duke Blue Devils

Duke has came up short in the past few years, will this be the year that they can finally make the final four? 93% of the scoring for the Blue Devils returns, and they will have one of the best freshman classes in the country. One of the most talented teams in the country for sure.

SEC: Tennessee Lady Vols

Tennessee is the most storied program in women's basketball history. With the arrival of the #1 recruit Mercedes Russel, and a really deep front line. The final four drought is bound to end.

PAC 12: Stanford Cardinal

The Cardinal are a big favorite to have yet again another 30 win season, and their 14th consecutive PAC 12 title. I could not pick anyone else to with the PAC 12. Not at all.

BIG 10: Nebraska Cornhuskers: Let's just say the Big 10 is one of the worst major women's basketball conferences. It is up for grabs, but the Cornhuskers just have the talent to do it. We will see though.

BIG 12: Baylor Lady Bears: The Big 12 is a very deep conference. I honestly think they are going to be one of the best WBB conference again this year. Even with the loss of Griner, I think the Lady Bears will control the Big 12 again. I definitely don't expect undefeated, but I expect them to win a lot.
