Georgetown head coach Keith Brown resigns under pressure after University investigation

USA TODAY Sports

Today, Georgetown University women's basketball head coach Keith Brown has resigned amid allegations of verbal abuse of his players. The University previously placed him on leave while conducting an investigation of the matter.

WJLA, the ABC affiliate in Washington, DC has this article and here is also a video story on what happened along with raw audio of Coach Brown:

It certainly wasn't a good thing to hear him say what he said.  One other note is that assistant coach Tim Valentine, who was also placed on leave was reinstated by the University.  It will be interesting to see how the Hoyas play in 2013-2014 in their first year in the "New" Big East Conference indeed.

Discuss in the comments below on Coach Brown's resignation.
