Since we had quite a few comments on yesterday's open thread, we're going to re-post thewiz06's Wednesday info for today's two games.
1. Indiana Fever (17-8) at Atlanta Dream (14-13), 7 PM ET/4 PM PT
This is also an NBA TV game, and it will be dedicated to former Tennessee basketball coach Pat Summitt. This is the last of five matches between these two teams, with a 2-2 split so far in the series.
With Angel back in the fold for ATL, if she can keep her scoring efficiency close to what it was on Sunday, this could be another win for the Dream, not to mention that four of their last six games are on the road. Fortunately, two of those last six games are against the Mystics, so they should help ATL get those last wins to clinch another playoff berth.
2. Phoenix Mercury (6-19) at NY Liberty (10-16), 7 PM ET/4 PM Arizona and PT
This is on MSG if you're in the NYC area.
Last time these two teams played each other on August 23, Diana was still getting ready to get back into WNBA mode, if you will. Now, she's back and Phoenix has won two in a row, both against teams that will be in the playoffs. This is the first in a three game road trip for the Mercury and all against Eastern teams in the playoffs or at least with a good chance for them, so if Phoenix can grab two of three on this trip, that should be a positive reflection on the team as it heads for the offseason and hopes to get lucky in the Griner Bowl.
