With both New York and Chicago losing last night, there is still a glimmer of hope that the Sky could make the playoffs, but really now, it looks like this is New York's playoff berth to lose with its last two games against the Shock in a home and home. The Sky has Atlanta and Washington in a final two game homestand.
The wild card team in all of this is the Shock. If the Shock can beat New York in two of its three remaining games, AND the Sky can beat either Atlanta or DC, the Sky will make the playoffs, and the Shock can take pride in the fact that it played spoiler in the playoff race.
While this scenario will play itself out starting tomorrow, tonight, the Fever (20-11) and Sun (23-9) will play in a potential Eastern Finals matchup at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT. Game is on LiveAccess.
Indiana Fever at Connecticut Sun links

The Sun is starting a two game home stand, and Indiana is going on a two game road trip starting tonight, and the second game is in DC. Given that the seeds are set at the top of the East, I wouldn't be surprised if the stars rest for extended stretches if not the entire game for both teams' remaining games. Sure, the stars may not play much, but if you are a fan of seeing the young guns play extended minutes, this may actually be a more enticing game to watch, just to see what they can bring to the table.
For Indy in particular, it is quite possible that Tamika and Katie will not even play on Friday against the Mystics AND Sunday against the Shock, and that is even with January and Zellous recuperating from head injuries last Monday (link above that they won't be playing today). I also won't be surprised if the Fever can win at least one of those two games, but we'll worry about those games when we get there.
So that's it. Enjoy tonight's game.
