"Courtney (Paris) is an inside power player with a soft touch around the rim and ability to score in the paint," Head Coach Gary Kloppenburg said. "She is an excellent rebounder at both ends of the floor and with hard work can develop into a solid inside presence for us."

From a Tulsa Shock release announcing the signing of Courtney Paris and release of Lynetta Kizer. One of the most interesting things about this signing: although Paris was a better defensive rebounder (20%) with Atlanta than Kizer has been with Tulsa this season, they're rather identical statistically otherwise. But that difference should be significant for the Shock: they allow more offensive rebounds (34.5%) than any team in the Western Conference. The Shock also re-signed Amber Holt today. More on that here.
