Jolette Law Interviews For Tennessee's Vacant Assistant Position

Stay connected for news and updates

According to a source familiar with the search, former Illinois head coach Jolette Law has interviewed for the other vacant assistant position at Tennessee.

Law has been on campus interviewing today and yesterday and could potentially be the next assistant at Tennessee. Law has supposedly been offered the job and if she accepts, Law will be the final piece of Holly Warlick’s staff.

Law has an exceptional reputation as a recruiter and is very well respected in basketball circles. During her tenure at Rutgers as an assistant under Hall of Famer, C. Vivian Stringer, Law was an impelling force behind their rise to the upper echelon of women’s basketball: Eight top 10 recruiting classes -- including three that were ranked No. 1, two final fours, three Elite Eights and national runner up in 2007.

With Warlick already adding Kyra Elzy as an assistant, the Lady Vols still had another assistant coach vacancy due to the departure of Mickie DeMoss to the WNBA's Indiana Fever. If they are able to hire Law, who would bring a plethora of experience to an already dynamic staff, it will resonate throughout all of college basketball.
