Fenerbahce and Galatasaray battle at 12 noon EST today (with link) for Turkey President's Cup

The two best teams in Turkey, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, will battle today for the President's Cup in Turkey. Both teams are contenders for the Turkey domestic championship and each will contend for the Euroleague championship as well. The match is scheduled to take place at 1800 CET which translates to 12 noon EST.

You should be able to watch the game at this link. (Monster shout-out to lovewomensbasketball.com.)

Fenerbahce features the high-octane team of Angel McCoughtry and Cappie Pondexter. Unfortunately, Gala will be missing part of their offense - Lindsay Whalen is a bit busy in Minnesota right now. Galatasaray's head coach Ekrem Memnum implied that there were some injury issues with their other WNBA players, with Sancho Lyttle not playing today at all and Sylvia Fowles with a fifty-fifty percent chance of playing. Ann Wauters should be there, though.

Fener and Gala are ranked #3 and #7 in Europe on our Swish Appeal Euroball list and even though Whalen and Lyttle won't be there, this one should keep you happy until Game Two of the WNBA Finals starts tonight.

(So why didn't I report this earlier? Because I didn't find out about it until just now. Following Euroball presents its own challenges. )
