What: Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals with Dream center Erika de Souza absent to compete in the FIBA World Championships with the Brazilian National Team and Fever forward Tamika Catchings' status still uncertain (even if she does play) after suffering an injury in Game 2 in Atlanta.

- The Indianapolis Star is reporting that Tamika Catchings will "attempt to play" tonight and has been warming up with the team. Of course, that leaves the matter of whether and how much she actually will play still uncertain.

That’s the problem – it’s not clear they can.
We’ve seen it the last three possessions – they have more players that can go to the basket than the Fever can handle. The Fever have to contest, try to force jumpers, and rebound hard.

The Lynx learned that in the playoffs the way to go if you are more athletic is
put your head down and charge to the hoop. Would be interesting to see Atlanta/Minnesota both using that strategy.

I think the Lynx are the superior team, but Atlanta is probably the only team that can match that athleticism defensively.

Yeah - I think he nicely illustrated how "skill" & "athleticism" can be working together within a split second
Which goes back to ttdomi’s point about about “coordination” as well.
Taken a step further – Jordan post-baseball is an example of efficient use of motion (which I think both Augustus & Ray Allen demonstrate well too).

My affinity for Lehning should be well known, but Harding adds an entirely different dimension…

and I to appreciate what Shalee brings to the game. As the season has gone along though Harding has gotten better and better.

As smart as Lehning is as a pg
She is more of a risk-averse pg… she’d slow it up a lot instead of pushing. It works very well at times, but if you can’t shoot threes at all you gotta get moving.
