Photo Essay: New York Liberty Beat Connecticut Sun At The Prudential Center

Something every WNBA coach, executive, and player has to like seeing: New York Liberty fans stopping by the season ticket renewal booth at halftime of their exciting win against the Connecticut Sun tonight. Photo by Ray Floriani.

There's plenty to say about the New York Liberty's exciting 84-81 overtime victory over the Connecticut Sun tonight.

For now, the photo essay.

The view from Broad Street outside the Rock. You are looking Northbound in downtown Newark, with the Prudential building very noticeable in the background.

Scene from the concourse hallway at halftime. Always some fans relaxing or milling about.

The poster advertising the season ticket renewal opportunity to fans. Of course, posters are fine but fans need to enjoy the product. Evidently they are as the season ticket renewal booth was busy at halftime (see top picture).

Thanks for the pics!

That view down Broadway is surprising. I would expect to see more huge glass skyscrapers.

Hi ttdomi,

Are you just joking or did you not read that that skyline you are speaking about IS NOT Broadway, for goodness sake! It is an area in New Jersey as the line below the photo says clear as day. Wow, have a good day by the way.

I knew it was Newark

I remembered the street name as Broadway (Newark), but it is actually Broad Street.

are the fans showing a lot of unhappiness?

Watching Washington they are in a lot better shape than Tulsa. A #1 pick and the return of Beard and Currie could have them in the mix again.

The WNBA Action show

had the last second loss to Atlanta on their highlights. That was such a tough loss – blowing a lead at the end and losing at.the buzzer.
