Thanks for the synopsises

I always look forward to NBA TV doubleheader coverage of the WNBA.

Because this is Swish Appeal, that must mean that “they’ve got that whipappeal.”
Hopefully, the performances tonite are good and motivate
me to think “keep on working on meeeeee!”. Like Babyface.

Love that song...

As the site’s founder, I will neither confirm nor deny that Babyface’s song served as inspiration for the name of this site.

Either way could be construed badly, particularly for people, such as yourself, with such great taste in music…

Taj's hair is worthy of the "what is this I don't even" meme

I try to not think about Taj's hair.

Seriously.

Also, I think if you are a pro baller and you are going to put a wacky color in your hair, it should be a team color or at least complimentary to your team’s colors. (Unless you are ARob in which case your hair is just awesome and you get a free pass.)

by Shannon Cotterell on Jul 9, 2011 11:31 PM EDT up reply actions

There are actually very few players who require serious hair discussion.

If you let me have DRob and ARob (and see I’ve been good and not even talked about ARob’s hair yet) along with Charde and Shanna I can probably live with that. I reserve the right to follow-up comment if someone else starts in with the hair, though.

by Shannon Cotterell on Jul 9, 2011 11:22 PM EDT up reply actions

What about Diana then?

How does she prevent damaging her hair out when it’s in that bun? I guess she really doesn’t wear it when she’s not playing right?

Toliver is also a bit of a hothead

We saw that against PHX. She’s got to get a bit of a better grip on that to go along with her improved play. She did a lot of hurt her team that night. She’ll learn, but I’m sure the Sparks hope it’s sooner rather than later. ;)

by Shannon Cotterell on Jul 9, 2011 11:02 PM EDT reply actions

yup

I was hoping we could have drafted her instead of Coleman in 2009, but then again, Coleman brought a lot of versatility too as a swingman. Right now, she’s been a disappointment being nothing more than a three point shooter her first couple years, and this year, she just hasn’t panned out much either…..

by thewiz06 on Jul 9, 2011 11:05 PM EDT up reply actions

Now the video in the white house....

For some reason, last couple years, it’s really hit a wrong nerve with me when championship teams come to the white house and then host camps, etc. in DC.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it here or maybe it was Bullets Forever, but last year in January 2010, the LAkers visited President Obama, and then hosted a camp in DC at the Verizon Center practice court with kids in our area. They then left the camp in Lakers gear and the players naturally told them to do an ending cheer with “GO LAKERS”. There was actually a video of it for NBA Cares. As a sports fan, it really, really hurt, because it was just soon after the Gilbert Arenas situation was going out. Sorry if I repeated this……..
