Three keys for the Washington Mystics:

  • There's a reason that Swin Cash pictures have been placed on both the article here and at SBN Seattle: if the Storm continue to shoot as poorly as they have, Cash's ability to get to the free throw line and clean up inside will be critical. The Mystics will have to keep an eye on her.
  • Should they play zone? Almost any team that has against the Storm has had some success, even in spurts. If the Storm struggle to hit threes and establish a post game against Anosike and Langhorne, sitting in a zone and forcing the Storm to shoot their way out of it is just good strategy.
  • Transition defense: The Mystics aren't the most turnover prone team in the league, but the tend to turn it over a bit more often than their opponents. The last thing the Mystics want to do is give points off turnovers in transition to a Storm team that is having considerable half-court struggles.
