Washington Mystics beat the Los Angeles Sparks in Overtime, 89-85

Mystics win their third game of the year, and come back from a very large deficit. Here's the DC Basketcases' take on it, which I think is the best way to sum up the game from a Mystics perspective.

Gotta be honest -

I fell asleep on this game… and I’m on the West Coast.

I re-watched it later… and “implosion” is about the only way to describe what happened to the Sparks.

One thing about the Mystics: they are an amazingly scrappy team. They shouldn’t be in half the games they’ve been in and they’re making things competitive. That’s not to say they’re in a good position moving forward… but I’m eager to see what they can do next season with a healthy Beard/Currie…

The Sparks, on the other hand, are making me (continue to) wonder whether removing Gillom was a worthwhile move…
