Yes.
The SilverStars are my second favorite team after Tulsa.
Sad thing though, after they canned Richardson I didn’t have the same enthusiasm for Tulsa on Sunday that I had before.
I really like the Stars this year...
I’ve always loved the play, but I love what Hughes is doing with the team too…

I wouldn't say SASS is a "slow" starting team...
But they definitely take a while to find the right combo/matchups/hit their stride…
A lot of that is obviously Adams… but it’s an interesting thing to watch unfold game to game…

Must give props to D Rob

Definitely...
I don’t think she’s more surprising than Adams, but I didn’t at all think she’d be able to run a team this well for so many mins…

That's because Stanford had years of players built up...
…who were still young enough to play, so they all dumped into the leagues at once. Didn’t hurt that former Stanford players helped put the ABL together, either.
Aside from The Dark Years, Stanford has pretty consistently sent 1-2 players to the pros every year.
(Now, actually sticking in the W…that’s another story.)

However, I lost my basketball heart to Sonja Henning years ago. I thought I’d get over it, but even though she’s long gone, I just can’t quit Stanford WBB.
My alma mater’s greatest WBB achievement was making the NCAA tournament (once)…and promptly losing to Stanford in the first round. Irony is a cruel mistress.

I thought I heard Teresa say that
she was hired by Richardson.
I had assumed when I heard her title listed as “Director of Player Personnel” that she had been hired by the owners and that her job duties would include trades and such.
Richardson
did indeed hire her. Last year’s player personnel director didn’t really have much of a hand in … anything. The assistant coach duties weren’t even part of her initial job description…and here she is as head coach. I know some folks think this is what ownership planned…but because of things I see and hear, I just can’t hardly believe that.

that Tulsa could pick a win up from.
And here they are leading at the home court of a team that has absolutely hammered Tulsa twice.
Things are looking bleak in Tulsa...

I think they will win again because Cambage will get better and that alone will add wins.
And they can’t run away from zone defense forever. It is fated to be a zone team.

Hmmm
That’s the same word I was looking for.
Stanford-methodical is such a well-oiled machine: a huge engine with a million intricate pieces.
So it’s easy to marvel at. This is just players being unselfish. Nobody likes to watch that.

Not just unselfish.
The Lynx are also unselfish, but not methodical. And they all WANT the ball. They just share because it’s fun.
I think one of the things is that no one on SASS looks like they really want the ball. Not in the sense that they are adverse to it, just that they don’t…care?

who people can’t question. It has to be a name that everyone agrees has talent.
Then if they are bad people can stop saying they have talent and the right coach can get it done.

most men who watch WNBA fall into a combination these categories
1. They watch it because of (a) specific player(s), usually because of looks.
2. are afraid of being laughed at for watching the sport so they’re what I call in the closet fans. Nothing to do with homosexuality here
3. Honestly want to follow college players who turn pro. Women’s college basketball gets a better rep than the WNBA among most men, oddly enough.
Do women not watch it?
