The new edition of ESPN the Magazine, dated May 30, 2011, looks in detail at the recent rash of "misbehavior" among athletes and programs, notably "the year of scandals" in college sports.

One piece focuses on the community service requirements given to athletes frequently when they have "misbehaved." Tulsa Shock guard Marion Jones is the focal point of the article, but it focuses not on community service as punishment with Ms. Jones, but how she has embraced it and turned it into a labor of love, and the desire she has to grow her foundation to higher levels.
