Sue (Bird) is the consummate point guard. She's experienced, she's won championships at every level. She's really a coach on the floor, so she understands that when the team leaves the huddle it's her team. And she transferred a lot of that to [Epiphanny Prince] in terms of talking to the team during dead balls and being a lot more vocal and explaining things to her. So I thought it was a tremendous help and I'm sure Piph is going to back that up. Because if you look at the game, I only have so many timeouts but as a player you have several dead balls. And that's when someone like Sue Bird can become critical for you because she's a coach on the floor.

Chicago Sky and Spartak coach Pokey Chatman during an interview with Swish Appeal yesterday on what she saw guard Epiphanny Prince learning from Sue Bird as Spartak teammates during Euroleague/WNBA off-season. While acknowledging that Prince is a natural scorer, Chatman also saw Prince develop as a distributor this off-season as well, which can only be an encouraging sign for the Sky.
