Pac-10 Tournament: Cal Ends Washington Curse of 2011 With 58-48 Win
After dropping four straight games to Washington schools, Cal broke the curse in the first round of the Pac-10 tournament with a 58-48 win.
Cal arguably played one of their best halves of their Pac-10 season in the second half by dominating the offensive boards 40%-24% and, unlike past meeting against UW, converting second-chance opportunities. But a lot of this outcome was due to UW playing a very poor second half too: it's hard to win games with 11 turnovers and an assisted field goal percentage of 37.50% while giving up as many free throw attempts as field goals (22)...
