The big story of the game was definitely Gonzaga's Courtney Vandersloot getting 29 points to become the first college basketball player ever to reach 2000 points and 1000 assists. However, Kayla Standish managed to be equally impressive reaching 30 for the second consecutive game against a tough UCLA defense. This will unquestionably rank as the best college game I've personally witnessed in the Northwest and probably ranks up there with some Storm games I've seen.
