Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

Almost three weeks ago, California Golden Blogs member CalBear81 wrote a great post examining the history of the first women's intercollegiate basketball game.

Today, the filmmakers behind In The Game tweeted a link to a Smith College video (linked in title) about the origins of women's basketball - and most interestingly, if you weren't already aware, the reason the court was divided into thirds - in a Smith physical education class for women.

Most fittingly, producer Kate Lee writes that what intrigued her about that first game arranged at Smith was that the students got into because, "They loved the game!" A nice complement to the first weekend of the 2011 NCAA tournament over 100 years later.
