Tia Jackson won't return as UW women's basketball coach | Seattle Times Newspaper
I was telling someone the other day that whatever decision the University of Washington made on coach Tia Jackson wouldn't surprise me - she had definitely shown improvement on the defensive end this season and yet the team struggled so badly on offense that they couldn't turn that into wins.
UW could have justifiably waited to see what she did next year or chosen to just go in another direction to with an opportunity for the next coach to recruit replacements for the team's seniors. Based upon the comments at the Seattle Times, Huskies fans are satisfied with the approach of going in a new direction.
