We still have a lot of getting better to do. As much as this group has done, and I don’t want to diminish what they’ve done, we still can get a lot better and I’ve had trouble as a coach getting our teams to peak at the right moment, and I don’t think we’ve come close to peaking yet.
I told them we’re not beating this team three times. If we had won tonight we were going to let them win in Hartford (in the Big East tournament) because we’re not going to beat them three times, and we want to save one for the NCAA tournament. It may be making lemonade out of lemons but hopefully there’s another couple of shots at a great, great basketball team.
