Crowd looks pretty dang good...
Too bad that the Peck/Ward mics aren’t working at all (or maybe it’s a good thing?)
Heyo!
Wanted to say hi. We have ours going on too. You’re invited there, of course, but I don’t want to take away from your thread.

Just in case somebody else shows up. ;-)
You all do great work here. I don’t want to seem like I’m trawling for commenters.

Sooo....
looks like this is gonna be the Sykes vs. Stricklen show. LOL – April drains a shot to get the Scarlet Knights into double digits
and maybe a little Simmons too...
Hm. “S” names only today?

After opening up a 12-point lead...
The Lady Vols just gave up an easy bucket followed by a turnover…. Rutgers staying in it, and Tennessee is helping every chance they get. The non-Stricklen, non-Sykes shooting is … not good. But Tennessee def looks the better team early on…
UT 27, RU 18 – 7:56
Nifty move by Wheeler
Gets the defensive takeaway, tries to keep the ball in bounds with a between the legs pass…it almost worked, too
Um wow.
Scaryville Rutgers fan on my tv screen yelling for the foul wearing a #5 jersey. If you are in Piscataway, my PSA is you might wanna stay away from that nice woman right now.
Sykes stats...
11 points, 6 rebounds – Stricklen with 14 & 5 for Tennessee with just about 3 minutes to go in the 1st half – a definite dual!
Tennessee imploding a bit to end the half
Lead has gone from 13 to 5 for the Lady Vols. And another turnover, it’s an 8-0 run for Rutgers right now. No points for 4+ minutes for the Summitts
Tennessee 33, Rutgers 28 - HALFTIME
Man. When Stricklen is playing good, she is DAMN good.
Man. When Rutgers defense plays lights out, they can really affect the game (last 5:45 with no UT points).
Tennessee's 10th turnover...
Is gonna give the Scarlet Knights the chance at their first lead of the night. Sykes gives it to ’em with a layup with 17:29 to play. 37-36
Sykes
is season-highing the Lady Vols. 20 points already. Out of 41 for the entire Rutgers team. Oh my. She ain’t messing around.
Stricklen says...
anything you can do, I can do better. Gets herself 20 points and the Lady Vols retake the lead on her triple.
Ooops!
Just looked like C Viv dropped the eff bomb heading into the commercial break/timeout! #IAmNotSurprised
"You've got to be kidding me!"
Glory Johnson has her fourth foul with an elbow … almost looked like she was crying…I’m guessing the contact she just put back in her eye is still bothering her…
Woah Simmons...
Two threes in a row… Lady Vols up by 7 with 3:33 to play – we’re on a 10-0 Tennessee run
For sure...
Hitting shots definitely helps as well! All said, this has been an entertaining game!

Thanks, free throw drama!

They go on the funniest streaks. The easiest things are hard for them.
How many layups and putbacks did they miss?

Tennessee 67, Rutgers 61 - FINAL
Sykes finished with 27 points, but it wasn’t enough to stop the second-half 3-point shooting.
Stricklen tallied 22 points and 9 rebounds for the Lady Vols in the win…
I am watching the replay now on ESPNU and it looks like C. Vivian
is wearing the lightest and longest hair ever. Very close to a Beyonce color if I am not mistaken.
