Oklahoma City University falls to Texas A&M in exhibition
The defending NCAA national champions downed the NAIA's No. 3 ranked Oklahoma City University Stars 84-63. Despite a lopsided boxscore, A&M head coach Gary Blair had nothing but positive to say about the OCU program before the game.
"Oklahoma City University has a winning basketball tradition on the NAIA level and will be a very well-coached team," Blair said. "Coach (Rob) Edmisson is a good friend of mine and knows how to coach and win at the highest level. We want our players to get their feet wet, set the tempo and execute on Sunday, and hopefully OCU will get us ready for the regular season."
The Stars also faced off with Big 12 foe Kansas State on Thursday, falling 63-51 to the Wildcats. OCU starts their regular season schedule this Saturday as they host St. Thomas (Texas).
