"It's been 17-18 years since I've been in a situation where I'm not getting them to compete and work hard, and I'm struggling to figure out why that is," Boyle said of her program that lost star Alexis Gray-Lawson to graduation. She scored 35 points in an overtime victory in Seattle last year. "We won a WNIT championship last year and four of these kids played in that.... (But) the minute we face adversity, we fall apart."

That was not a pretty game for Cal at all...
Part of it was UW defense, but they looked completely out of sorts offensively…
Even just compared to last year’s game in Seattle, the big difference was not having A Gray-Lawson to bail them out of plays in the half court when they couldn’t find anything…
They just flat out didn’t make plays…

I was trying to figure out what the problem is, and I started thinking back to last year. . . and I remembered that any time Cal was struggling on the road it was AGL saving the day – in Seattle, in Corvallis, in Pullman. That’s the only reason I can think for such insane differences between home and road performance.
